Highlands Country Club, Highlands, NC

Certified Golf Course Superintendent, 1988-1999

Responsible for the course maintenance, budget proposals, purchases, clubhouse grounds and common areas, and equipment maintenance of a 1928 Donald Ross designed private country club. Owner’s representative for the installation of a Toro Network 8000 computerized irrigation system in 1991. Designed and constructed the renovations to driving range 1992. Assisted in construction of concrete tunnel under state road to connect nines 1993, co-coordinated the clean-up and reconstruction after the “Storm of the Century” in 1993 and Hurricane Opal in 1995, assisted the golf course architect in the preparation of the Master Plan 1995. Owner’s representative in completion of 1998/1999 restoration of Highlands Country Club. Restoration included all greens, bunkers, approaches, several teeing areas, with major renovations to the driving range and additions of a croquette court and nursery.
